The first four quarter-final spots in the Rolex Shanghai Masters will be filled on Tuesday as four-time champion Novak Djokoic headlines the evening session. Djokovic is attempting to advance to his 11th Shanghai quarter-final in as many attempts. In the day session, No. 10 Holger Rune takes on big-serving Frenchman No. 32 seed Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard on Stadium Court. Here are Tuesday's Stadium Court match-ups in order of play:

Diallo is one of two Canadians (Auger-Aliassime) into the fourth round at this year's tournament. He has posted wins over Benjamin Bonzi 6-4 6-4 and former World No. 7 David Goffin 3-0 Ret. (neck injury) to advance to his second ATP Masters 1000 4R. In April, advanced to QF in Madrid as a No. 78-ranked lucky loser (l. to Musetti). This is first tournament he's won back-to-back matches since June when he reached the quarter-finals in Mallorca (l. to Griekspoor). He opened grass court circuit by capturing his first ATP Tour title in 's-Hertogenbosch (d. Bergs). He comes in with a 27-20 match record this season (12-13 on hard, 9-3 on grass and 6-4 on clay. Also a 10-6 in Masters 1000 play with best result QF in Madrid. Came into this year with an 11-15 career tour-level record and career-high ranking of No. 86 but reached career-best No. 33 in August.
Bergs is appearing in his first ATP Masters 1000 fourth round after wins over Sebastian Korda 6-4 7-5, No. 11 seed Casper Ruud 3-6 7-5 4-1 Ret. (right wrist) and No. 19 Francisco Cerundolo 7-6(1) 6-3. It is the first time he's recorded back-to-back Top 30 wins in his career. He is trying to become the second straight Belgian to reach the quarter-finals here after David Goffin. This season has reached ATP Tour finals in Auckland (l. to Monfils) as a qualifier and 's-Hertogenbosch (l. to Diallo). The No. 1 Belgian is ranked a career-high No. 44 and is one of the most improved players on the ATP Tour this season. Coming into this year had a 23-37 career record and has won a personal-best 28 tour-level matches season (28-23), including 22-15 on hard, 4-4 on grass and 2-4 on clay.

Mpetshi Perricard is coming off his biggest career win (6-4 7-5) over No. 4-ranked Taylor Fritz on Sunday and his first Top 10 victory (1-6) in his career and appearing in fourth round for first time in an ATP Masters 1000 event. One of two French players (Rinderknech) in the fourth round. The No. 3 Frenchman ranked No. 37 (behind No. 26 Humbert, No. 30 Fils) opened with a 6-3 7-6(4) victory over Italian Luca Nardi on Friday to earn his first win in Shanghai. Last year lost in the first round to Wawrinka in two tie-breaks. He comes in with a 16-21 record this season with 13 wins coming on hard courts (13-12 on hard, 2-6 on clay, 1-3 on grass). His next win will be a personal-best and surpass the 16 last season (16-12) when he also finished a year-end best No. 31. His best results are semi-finals in Brisbane (l. to Opelka) and Winston-Salem (l. to van de Zandschulp).
Rune is into the fourth round for the second straight year after wins over Sebastian Baez 7-5 6-4 and No. 21 seed Hugo Humbert 6-4 6-4. Has a 4-2 record in Shanghai and last year the 22-year-old Dane lost to Fritz in the fourth round. He has a 33-20 match record on the season (21-12 on hard, 10-6 on clay, 2-2 on grass) and his best result came in April when he captured his fifth career ATP Tour title in Barcelona (d. No. 10 Ruud in QF, No. 2 Alcaraz in F). Also runner-up at ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells (d. No. 9 Tsitsipas in 4R, No. 6 Medvedev in SF, l. to No. 14 Draper). He comes in ranked No. 11 and on course to finish in Top 15 for the fourth straight season -- No. 11 in 2022, No. 8 in 2023, No. 13 last year.

Munar is appearing in his third career ATP Masters 1000 fourth round, first on hard courts, after wins over Marton Fucsovics 4-6 7-5 6-1, No. 22 seed Flavio Cobolli 7-5 6-1 and [Q] Yoshihito Nishioka 6-4 5-7 6-1. His previous fourth round runs came at 2023 Madrid and Rome in May this year. The 28-year-old Spaniard is compiling his best season on the ATP Tour with a 27-22 record, including 18-11 on hard courts (previous best 9 hard court wins in 2022), highlighted by semi-finals in Hong Kong and Dallas in the first two months of the season. Also advanced to 4R at US Open, his best Grand Slam result. Prior to this season, his best year-end ranking was No. 58 in 2022. Came into Shanghai ranked No. 41 with a career-high of No. 37 last month after the US Open. Has a career record of 3-19 (1-5 this season) with last win over No. 8 Medvedev in 2R at Masters 1000 Miami in March.
Djokovic, who is the highest seed (4) remaining, is looking to reach the quarter-finals here for the 11th time in as many appearances. He opened on Friday night with a 7-6(2) 6-4 win over Marin Cilic and followed with a 4-6 7-5 6-3 victory over [Q] Yannick Hanfmann to improve his Rolex Shanghai Masters record to 41-6. The 38-year-old Serbian superstar has the most wins and titles (4) in tournament history (since 2009). Also won his first Tennis Masters Cup here in 2008 (now Nitto ATP Finals). Has a record seven year-end ATP Finals titles. He is playing in his first tournament since reaching the semi-finals at US Open (l. to Alcaraz). Advanced to semi-finals in all four Grand Slam tournaments and first time since 2017 he did not reach a major final during the year. The World No. 5 has a 33-10 match record this season (19-6 on hard, 9-3 on clay, 5-1 on grass), including 20-4 in Grand Slam play and 7-4 in ATP Masters 1000 events. The all-time leader in men's tennis with most Grand Slam titles (24) and ATP Masters 1000 titles (40). Also leads both in wins with 397 and 416, respectively. He captured his 100th career title in Geneva in May leading into Roland-Garros (d. Huracz) and one of three men in Open Era to reach the Century Club along with Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103). He also became the first man in the Open Era to win titles in 20 different seasons.

Vacherot is appearing in the fourth round of an ATP Masters 1000 tournament for the first time in his career after wins over Laslo Djere 6-3 6-4, No. 14 seed Alexander Bublik 3-6 6-3 6-4 and No. 20 Tomas Machac 6-0 3-1 Ret. (right knee). The win over No. 17-ranked Bublik was his best career win. The 26-year-old qualifier is the second player from Monaco to reach an ATP Masters 1000 Round of 16 after his half-brother Benjamin Balleret, who advanced to 2006 Monte-Carlo R16. He came in ranked No. 204 but has climbed to No. 153 on PIF Live Rankings so far (will go to around No. 130 if reaches QF). He achieved a career-high ranking No. 110 in June 2024 after 15-0 start to the season on Challenger level. He is coached by former Monegasque player and his half-brother Benjamin Balleret and played college tennis for Texas A&M University alongside his cousin, Arthur Rinderknech who is in the fourth round here.
Griekspoor is the first Dutchman to reach the fourth round in tournament history (since 2009). The No.1 Dutchman in the PIF ATP Rankings at No. 31 defeated World No. 2 and defending champion Jannik Sinner on Sunday when the Italian retired due to leg cramps at 6-7(3) 7-5 3-2 in the third set. Sinner was 64-0 on hard courts vs. players outside Top 10 since losing to No. 20 Shelton here two years ago. He broke a six-match losing streak on Friday with a 6-1 1-6 6-1 win over Jenson Brooksby. The 29-year-old has compiled a 28-20 match record (13-12 on hard, 11-7 on clay, 4-1 on grass) with his best result coming on grass in Mallorca where he captured his third ATP Tour title (d. Moutet).Also runner-up at Marrakech on clay (l. to Darderi). He will finish in the Top 50 for the third straight season after a year-end best No. 23 in 2023 and No. 40 last year.
