Third round action in the bottom half of the draw at the Rolex Shanghai Masters on Sunday is headlined by last year's finalists Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokoic in the evening session. In the day session, No. 5 seed Taylor Fritz and No. 10 Holger Rune are back on Stadium Court. Overall there are 10 seeds on the schedule. Here are Sunday's Stadium Court match-ups in order of play:

Humbert, the No. 1 Frenchman in the PIF ATP Rankings, improved his Shanghai record to 5-2 with a 6-3 7-6(4) win over Jordan Thompson on Friday to reach third round for third straight year. Last year lost to countryman Monfils in this round and in 2023, reached quarter-finals (d. No. 6 Tsitsipas in 3R, l. to No. 7 Rublev). The 27-year-old lefty is 19-17 this season (13-8 on hard, 4-4 on grass, 2-5 on clay) with his best result coming on home soil in Marseille in February when he won his seventh career ATP Tour title (d. Medjedovic). He has an 0-3 record vs. Top 20 opponents this season and his last win came over No. 2 Alcaraz in 3R at ATP Masters 1000 Paris last November. He is looking to finish in the Top 25 for the third straight year after No. 20 in 2023 and a year-end best No. 14 last season when he won a career-best 39 matches.
Rune is making his third straight Shanghai appearance (3-2) and he opened with a 7-5 6-4 win over Sebastian Baez on Friday. Last year the 22-year-old Dane advanced to the fourth round (l. to Fritz). He has a 32-20 match record on the season (20-12 on hard, 10-6 on clay, 2-2 on grass) and his best result came in April when he captured his fifth career ATP Tour title in Barcelona (d. No. 10 Ruud in QF, No. 2 Alcaraz in F). Also runner-up at ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells (d. No. 9 Tsitsipas in 4R, No. 6 Medvedev in SF, l. to No. 14 Draper). He comes in ranked No. 11 and on course to finish in Top 15 for the fourth straight season -- No. 11 in 2022, No. 8 in 2023, No. 13 last year.

Fritz rallied on Friday night with a 2-6 7-6(4) 7-6(1) win over Hungarian No. 1 Fabian Marozsan in his opening round match. The World No. 4 hit 15 aces and after getting broken twice in the opening set, he never faced break point in the final two sets. Last year's semi-finalist (l. to Djokovic) has a 9-5 record in Shanghai. Also has a 50-18 match record (34-12 on hard, 13-2 on grass, 3-4 on clay) and a third straight year he has won at least 50 matches (54 in 2023, 53 last year). The last American man to achieve the feat was Andy Roddick from 2003-05. The 27-year-old Californa native has a 2-1 record in finals, winning grass titles in Stuttgart (d. Zverev) and Eastbourne (d. Brooksby) and reaching final in Tokyo on Tuesday (l. to No. 1 Alcaraz). Also helped U.S. to United Cup title in January (d. Poland) and Laver Cup for Team World over Team Europe with wins over No. 1 Alcaraz and No. 3 Zverev. His best Grand Slam result this season came at Wimbledon where he lost in semi-finals to No. 2 Alcaraz in four sets. Also quarter-finalist at US Open (l. to Djokovic).
Mpetshi Perricard is the No. 3 Frenchman ranked No. 37 (behind No. 26 Humbert, No. 30 Fils) and he opened with a 6-3 7-6(4) victory over Italian Luca Nardi on Friday to earn his first win in Shanghai. Last year lost in the first round to Wawrinka in two tie-breaks. The 22-year-old Frenchman seeks his biggest win of career (0-6 vs. Top 10) and he's facing a Top 10 opponent for third time in the last four tournaments. He lost to No. 10 Musetti in 1R at US Open and No. 9 Musetti in 1R at Beijing.
He comes in with a 15-21 record this season with 12 wins coming on hard courts (12-12 on hard, 2-6 on clay, 1-3 on grass). His next win will equal his career-best of 16 last season (16-12) when he also finished a year-end best No. 31. His best results are semi-finals in Brisbane (l. to Opelka) and Winston-Salem (l. to van de Zandschulp).

Hanfmann qualified into his first ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the season after losing in qualifying in five Masters 1000 events. The 33-year-old German posted a pair of straight-set wins in qualifying then rallied from a set down against Sonego 2-6 6-3 6-1 in the first round and No. 25 seed Tiafoe 6-7(9) 6-2 6-1 in the second round. He has compiled an 8-10 record in tour-level play this season (4-3 on hard, 4-5 on clay, 0-2 on grass) with his best result a quarter-final in Kitzbuhel in July (l. to Rinderknech) as a qualifier. This is his seventh tournament as a qualifier in 2025. Also has won 11 of 15 Challenger matches (7-2 on clay, 4-2 on hard) with a clay title in Hagen in August. This is his fourth ATP Masters 1000 tournament he's advanced to third round or better, first since Miami last year (l. to Dimitrov). Also third round in 2023 Madrid (l. to Altmaier) and 2023 Rome where he was a quarterfinalist (l. to Medvedev). He has a 4-16 career record (0-6 on hard) vs. Top 10 opponents and looking to break a nine-match losing streak since win over No. 5 Tsitsipas in 2R of 2023 Mallorca, which was his biggest career win.
Djokovic opened on Friday night with a 7-6(2) 6-4 win over Marin Cilic to improve his Rolex Shanghai Masters record to 40-6. The 38-year-old Serbian superstar has the most wins and titles (4) in tournament history (since 2009). Also won his first Tennis Masters Cup here in 2008 (now Nitto ATP Finals). Has a record seven year-end ATP Finals titles. He is playing in his first tournament since reaching the semi-finals at US Open (l. to Alcaraz). Advanced to semi-finals in all four Grand Slam tournaments and first time since 2017 he did not reach a major final during the year. The World No. 5 has a 32-10 match record this season (18-6 on hard, 9-3 on clay, 5-1 on grass), including 20-4 in Grand Slam play and 6-4 in ATP Masters 1000 events. The all-time leader in men's tennis with most Grand Slam titles (24) and ATP Masters 1000 titles (40). Also leads both in wins with 397 and 415, respectively. He captured his 100th career title in Geneva in May leading into Roland-Garros (d. Huracz) and one of three men in Open Era to reach the Century Club along with Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103). He also became the first man in the Open Era to win titles in 20 different seasons.

Griekspoor, who is the No.1 Dutchman in the PIF ATP Rankings at No. 31, broke a six-match losing streak on Friday and improved his Shanghai record to 3-2 by reaching third round for second straight year with a 6-1 1-6 6-1 win over Jenson Brooksby. The 29-year-old has compiled a 27-20 match record (12-12 on hard, 11-7 on clay, 4-1 on grass) with his best result coming on grass in Mallorca where he captured his third career ATP Tour title (d. Moutet). Also runner-up at Marrakech on clay (l. to Darderi). He has a 5-29 career record vs. Top 10 opponents (2-3 in 2025) with both wins coming in back-to-back tournaments over No. 6 Medvedev in Dubai QF and No. 2 Zverev in Indian Wells 2R. He will finish in the Top 50 for the third consecutive season after a year-end best No. 23 in 2023 and No. 40 last year.
Sinner improved his career record to 23-2 in China with a 6-3 6-3 win over German Daniel Altamier on Saturday night. The 24-year-old Italian superstar comes in as defending champion and also after capturing his 21st career tour-level title in Beijing (d. Tien) on Wednesday. He became the fourth player to win three or more titles this year on ATP Tour, joining Alcaraz (8), Bublik (4) and Darderi (3). He is making his third straight Shanghai appearance and has a 9-1 record and last year beat Djokovic in the final. He made his debut in 2023 and lost in 4R to No. 20 Shelton. He comes in with a 43-5 record on season (24-2 on hard, 11-2 on clay, 8-1 on grass) and four of his losses have come to rival Alcaraz - in finals of Rome, Roland-Garros, Cincinnati and US Open). His only other loss came to Bublik in 2R of Halle. He repeated Australian Open title, won first Wimbledon crown and reached finals at Roland-Garros and US Open. He became only fourth man in Open Era to reach all four Grand Slam singles finals, joining Djokovic (three times), Federer (three times) and Laver (1969, also 1962). Since losing to No. 20 Shelton at 2023 ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai, he is 64-0 vs. opponents ranked outside Top 10 on hard courts.
