The multi award-winning Rolex Shanghai Masters 2024 will be staged at Qizhong Tennis Center from September 30 to October 13. The ‘Super Tournament', upgraded last year to two weeks, takes in the National Day Holiday Golden Week and remains the flagship and most prestigious tennis tournament in Asia.
The Rolex Shanghai Masters is one of only nine ATP Masters 1000 events in the world and the only one in the Asia-Pacific region. It has been awarded the "Best ATP 1000 Tournament of the Year" for five consecutive years.
The successful hosting of the tournament has allowed the city of Shanghai to become an attraction for tennis followers globally. The tournament not only promotes the city's cultural diversity but also reflects the dynamism of this cosmopolitan metropolis. The tournament, with the active cooperation of sports, culture and business, is an economic catalyst for sport, business and leisure.
The Rolex Shanghai Masters will celebrate its 13th edition this year and expects to host the world's best tennis players once again including world No1 and Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner, 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic, new French Open and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz, defending Rolex Shanghai Masters champion Hubert Hurkacz and Zhang Zhizhen, who at the recent Wimbledon championships became the first mainland Chinese men's singles player to be seeded at any of the four majors in the Open Era.
The great Roger Federer, as the ICON Athlete of Rolex Shanghai Masters will also be back with us on the Center Court on October 11.
This year the tickets for qualifying and all days starting from the quarterfinals cover day and night sessions; and between October 2 - 9, tickets will be available for either day or night session. Ticket sales for the tournament officially launched at 12 noon, July 22. Tickets can be purchased on the official website of Rolex Shanghai Masters.
Last year, the refurbishment and upgrading of the Players' Area at the Qizhong Tennis Center that included an indoor and outdoor dining experience, an incredible new gym and other facilities attracted universal praise from the players. This year the newly redeveloped Hospitality Pavilion will soon open and will draw incredible positive attention from tournament guests.
