Andy Murray was the first player to win the Rolex Shanghai Masters multiple times. He has been a finalist four times at Qi Zhong Stadium. He narrowly lost the 2012 final to Novak Djokovic after holding five championship points, however, every final he won, he won in straight sets, defeating Roger Federer in 2010, David Ferrer in 2011 and Roberto Bautista Agut in 2016.
